Soho Parish School PTA
Soho Parish PTA is a registered charity that supports the students and staff of Soho Parish Primary School in London with time, energy and needed resources. Our fundraising effort has enabled the school to improve classrooms, run trips, host events, buy technology, support SEN, create garden and play areas and launch healthy eating initiatives.
Every penny collected goes towards equipment, facilities and initiatives that improve children’s learning skills and well-being, ensuring that we send our students into tomorrow’s world well equipped for a happy, healthy and successful future.
Parents are automatically members of Soho Parish PTA, so scroll down and take a look at how you can get involved. We welcome ideas and hope to see you at our next coffee morning.
How you can help
Skills, Connections, Time and Resources
The talent in Soho is overwhelming, and our parents are no exception! Whether you have design skills to help with a poster or the language or music skills to run a club or perform at our events, if you're great at something, we would love to know.
You may know someone in the community or through work or family that could help us achieve our goals. Perhaps someone in your network has items for our next auction, a venue they would donate for an event or supplies that could reduce our costs.
We rely on volunteers for all our events and have so many ways to get involved. From an hour helping us sell gingerbread at the Christmas market to making decorations for our school disco, even the smallest amount of support makes a difference.
We really do need money to allow the school to function as it does now, and every penny helps. Equally, you may have other resources to give that could help fundraising efforts - from auction prizes to bake sales to quiz nights - we welcome ideas.
Soho Parish School Priorities 2019/2020
£3,600 per year
Fresh, Local Fruit for Students through KS2
With local markets and providers offering us exceptional pricing, we are able to offer our students healthy snacks every single day. Our goal is to continue extending the government scheme for KS1 to all students in the school each year.
Living Wall and Garden
Through parent volunteers and fundraising we've created a beautiful outdoor classroom and garden area. We'd like to offset the air pollution nearby with the addition of a living wall and garden extension to allow children to experience nature in our central London location.
£500 per teacher
Trips, Supplies and Books
Our goal is to allow each teacher in the school a yearly budget to supplement their students' learning with excursions, technology, books and learning resources.
