SOHO FOOD FEAST (www.sohofoodfeast.com) was back again for its ninth year in 2019, working with some of London's top restaurants to raise money for Soho Parish primary school. This year's event took place over the weekend of Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th June.
This year the School needs our help financially to help with their growing number of pupils but lack of Government funding. Although the school is oversubscribed and has grown by 10% in the last two years, because of its Victorian building and location the school can’t fit as many pupils in as a large state school, which means that they are poorly funded. The sad truth is without financial support from Soho Food Feast and their other fundraising events, the school would be in a critical state. The happy truth though is that the school is in Soho, and we have an incredible community spirit which is evident in the success of the previous six years of the Soho Food Feast, where restaurants local and further a field in London have come together to support the only school in Soho.
Soho Food Feast was a smashing success, with over £32K raised for the school. Thanks to everyone who attended and to all our staff, volunteers and restaurants in the community for making it the best year ever.
